Miltiadis Konstantinou, Professor of the Old Testament at the Department of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/Greece.
1980-83: Postgraduated studies in the Old Testament and the Ancient Near Eastern Literature at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen / Germany.
1983: Ph.D. in Biblical Hermeneutics, Department of Theology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Teaching (since 1984): Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew Language at the Department of Theology / Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Founding member and Board member of the Hellenic Bible Society and head of the program for translating the Bible into modern Greek.
2002 – 2006: Visiting Professor at the Theological School of University of Balamand/Lebanon.
Member of the United Bible Societies’ Global Board
Chairman of the United Bible Societies’ Committee on Translation Policy
Member of the United Bible Societies’ Church Relations Committee
Member of the Editorial Board of the “Bibliotheca Biblica Series” (in Russian language)
Awarded by the Ecumenical Patriarchate with the honorable title of the “Teacher of the Gospel”.
Delegate of the Church of Greece to the International Commission of the Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue (ICAOTD).
Chairman of the Board of the “Hellenic Society of Biblical Studies”.
Consultant of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the Preparatory Meeting of the Lutheran-Orthodox Joint Commission.
